Bringing teams together to improve maternity services

Quality improvement training and support for maternity teams

Why Every Birth a Safe Birth?

The quality of maternity services is in the spotlight - the Kirkup report led to a review of maternity care across England and the MBRRACE-UK reports have highlighted variation in clinical outcomes that cannot be explained by normal variation or clinical risk factors.  In England, national aims have been set to halve the rates of stillbirths, neonatal and maternal deaths and intrapartum brain injuries in babies by 2030 (with a 20% reduction by 2020).  This is an exciting time for those wishing to improve quality in maternity services.

Every Birth a Safe Birth supports maternity units to continuously improve clinical quality.  To find out more...
